With nearly 100 alumni and friends gathering at The Edgewater Hotel in Madison, it was a truly celebratory evening full of music, laughter and memories.

UW Law hosts Reunion every year in conjunction with Homecoming Weekend, so it was fitting that the Homecoming Parade greeted guests right on the corner of Langdon and Wisconsin as they made their way to The Edgewater.

Alumni from various classes of the 1970s, ’80s, ’90s and 2000s were present, but Dean Dan Tokaji was especially excited to toast the milestone reunion years ending in 4s and 9s. His remarks emphasized how nice it felt to have alumni back on campus, since they are truly an integral part of the UW Law community.

The celebration kicked off with a performance by The MadHatters, UW–Madison’s renowned a cappella group, who had everyone singing along to classic hits like “Sweet Caroline,” “Dancing in the Moonlight” and “Rockin’ Robin.” Of course, the crowd was on their feet and swaying for “Varsity—On Wisconsin!”

Guests then stepped out onto The Edgewater terrace to enjoy the colorful Homecoming fireworks over Lake Mendota.

In addition to the October festivities, UW Law School celebrated the 1974 Reunion Class earlier in September at the Half Century Dinner. Over 25 members of the class gathered at the Madison Club to mark their milestone 50th Reunion. The event was a special moment for the Class of 1974 to reconnect, reflect on their shared experiences and celebrate their remarkable achievements since graduation.
